Bridges Outing
Sometimes what you need more than anything else is to do the Hokey Cokey in the crisp winter cold with 20 of your mates and teachers in a public place XD
A few weeks ago we took a long overdue outing to central London to practice our English, cardinal directions, geography of London and its bridges, and consume all we could at Borough Market (shout out to the overwhelming crowd favourite @jumakitchen) and the @tate. Along the way we laughed and giggled and delighted in resorting to dancing together to warm us up. It was a gorgeous day out that made us feel really grateful for all of the free community spaces London has to offer.
For those who need a safe place to get out of the cold for a quiet moment, who face barriers to education, and who are new to the city and struggling to integrate, these and all other free community spaces are crucial institutions and places of safety that we should all work to champion and preserve.
For our young people who ordinarily feel isolated and marginalised, occupying and exploring these spaces in the heart of London is transformative. We work hard to ensure that our young people feel empowered and able to access all this city has to offer at their leisure and pleasure.
Join us in championing investment in free public spaces wherever you might be They are what keep our communities growing, connecting, and learning.
