May Half Term: Sensory Magic
This May Half Term, which actually took place over the first three days of June, we took our cue from the change in season and chose to base our half term project around smelling the roses…or at least our interpretation of that. After such a crazy year, we knew that more than anything we wanted to take advantage of the generous support of BBC Children in Need (who sponsors our half terms), and use the time to bring some of our artists, musicians, therapists, and young people together in mindful creative practice. We bundled lavender together, created books of collective short stories, improvised sonic storytelling, and explored essential oils and the experiences we associate with them. Thank you to Dima, Marisa, Jonny, Alice, and Katie for making this one so special!
