Refugee Week 2019 at Parliament: Advocating for Refugee Rights

For Refugee Week 2019 we were delighted to co-host an event in Parliament with Angus MacNeil MP to raise awareness of his Refugee Families Reunification Bill, which would allow unaccompanied minor refugees to sponsor close relatives to join them in the UK.

We had brilliant speakers including Saleyha Ahsan, our very own Anna MacDonald, as well as one of our incredible students who gave a moving account of their experience as a refugee in this country.

It was fantastic to meet and hear the support of MPs from across the House of Commons. We are very grateful to Isle Of Harris Distillers Ltd. and The Association of Exiled Scots who kindly sponsored the event.
